This traditional Indonesian food is made with fermented whole soya beans. It’s great for marinating and using as a meat-replacer. This plain tempeh from Biona has no added ingredients so is ready for you to add your favourite flavours. Just drain and it’s ready to use.
With more of a firm texture than tofu it has a slight nuttiness which can be enhanced with roasting or frying. Marinated and baked tempeh makes an excellent sandwich filling or partner to a salad or rice bowl.
