These thick slices of crunchy red cabbage have a hint of red onion and are great with cold meats, or scattered on a salad.
Try them warmed up as a side dish to go with a roast dinner or added to Bubble & Squeak leftovers.
Handmade in the Cotswolds by Auntie Caroline who started making pickled onions while living in Japan, as she was unable to find any that rivalled the english versions she was craving.
On her return to the UK she shared her creations with friends and was soon taking them to her local Butchers in Cirencester. Caroline still makes her pickles her kitchen in Cirencester but now supplies independent shops across the Cotswolds and further afield.
Store in a cool, dark place, and refrigerate when opened.
