Auntie Caroline’s Cheek Burning Chilli Chutney

With a whole host of ingredients this chutney isn’t just about the heat although it has plenty of that. Expect something hot, spicy and full of flavour.

Handmade in the Cotswolds by Auntie Caroline who started making pickled onions while living in Japan, as she was unable to find any that rivalled the english versions she was craving.

On her return to the UK she shared her creations with friends and was soon taking them to her local Butchers in Cirencester. Caroline still makes her pickles her kitchen in Cirencester but now supplies independent shops across the Cotswolds and further afield.

INGREDIENTS Red Onion, Red Peppers, Sultanas (Sulphites), Tomatoes, Apples, Tomato Puree, Carrots, White Wine Vinegar (Sulphites), Demerara Sugar (2.56%), Cider Vinegar, Malt Vinegar (Barley), Lime Juice, Dried Red Chillies, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper, Chilli Powder, Salt, Cinnamon, Celery Salt, Ground Coriander, Ground Cloves, Oregano, Garlic Powder, Thyme, Bay Leaf, Black Pepper.
